Denver City Lax is a Colorado non-profit organization developing a sports-based youth development program that currently involves about 100 elementary and middle school students playing lacrosse in underserved neighborhoods in the Denver metro area.

Lacrosse offers both on-field and off-field opportunities for students.  The game provides a framework to teach character, sportsmanship and other values that can contribute to success in school and life.

Denver City Lax has nominated coach Gregory Crichlow for Coach of the Year in a contest hosted by Youth Noise. City Lax is fortunate to have great coaches throughout the program and we could easily nominate a number of deserving people for this award. This year it's Gregory. Everyone is in agreement about the wonderful job he does in helping kids on and off the field.

City Lax coaches traveled to Ohio June 10-14 to head up a US Lacrosse U13 BRIDGE girls team at the national Lax Festival.  Three Denver players (LeRita Bibbs, Essence Farmer and Mary Gormley) traveled with coaches Iris Gardner and Gregory Crichlow to join other U13 girls from Dallas, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and West Palm Beach.

City Lax at Invesco

Lots of City Lax'ers in the crowd at Invesco to witness DU's win over Loyola, earning the Pioneers a berth in this year's NCAA tournament.  Members of DU's Denver Elite youth teams were honored at halftime with a visit to the playing field.  City Lax was represented by Steven O'Malley and Jaden Franklin.  Patrick O'Malley, sidelined this winter and early spring with an injury, has also been a contributing member of the Denver Elite.  Thanks to DU, the Outlaws and coach Mac.

Congratulations! 

Myya Bonner, Jr. and Kahseem Stevenson attended competitive tryouts in mid-April and were selected to play on this summer's Colorado Select U11 team.  They will play with the U11 Colorado team at two local tournaments in June, the Colorado Cup and the Denver Shootout.  Congratulations to both players and their families.

• At the mylacrosseleague site, look on the left hand side where it says Guest Login and "Select a league below."
• Click on "Colorado Youth Lacrosse Association, " and select "GO."
• Your players schedule will be listed under one of the following divisions. Click on the appropriate division and you will find the City Lax team for that grade level:

4th Grade - White 2     (City Lax - Dudley)
6th Grade - White 2     (City Lax - Zordani)
8th Grade - White 1     (City Lax - Moore)
